Born and raised in the small town of La Mesilla, New Mexico,

Sofía connected to the magic of movies as a young child. At a young age, she was captivated by both film itself and the idea of pursuing the art of pure imagination. She worked diligently to complete formal education and graduated high school at the age of 16. Following a 2-year film & television internship, she relocated to Los Angeles.

Upon arrival to Los Angeles, Sofía began pursuing acting and working in the entertainment industry. She worked in a sector of the video game industry as a producer for several years. A majority of her corporate career involved working with the actor's union SAG-AFTRA, including several years as a business representative for said union. These 8+ years working with or at the union has given her immeasurable experience with the many collective bargaining agreements for union productions.

Since the beginning of 2024, Sofía has focused solely on her career as an actor, and thus since then, has had the pleasure of working on many student films, an independent feature film and several independent short films.

 

Her recent work includes the lead role of an upcoming USC School of Cinematic Arts film in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios.
